A) Tat Tat Tat it up?

Day 1:  Future Tattoos

Past: It was Summer of 2007 and I went to St. George Island in Florida with my family on vacation.  While I was down there on the Island, they had a Henna shop ....My cousin Jasmine and I went and got Henna tats! After we got them my uncle said "Next, you're gonna wanna get tattoos" <<<< He was right!

Present:

My 1st Tat:

It is simply 2 nails forming a cross w/ a red "sign of the fish" hanging on the cross. I researched and researched and did a Bible Study and then did more research on tattoos b/c I REALLY didn't want to upset God w/ getting a tat sooo after much researching, i decided on this tat.  It means the world to me, hence why it's over my heart! It is a testament and reminder that Jesus died for ME, he died so that I might LIVE, and the least I can do is LIVE FOR HIM!

 

My 2nd Tat: You'd be surprised how many people "don't get it" lol ... it's my name spelled in music notes :) I LOVE music (hence why it's tied into this blog)... soooo this is just showing how music is so deep in me, it's on my body forever :)

 

My 3rd Tat: 

My third tat is a testament to my life!  I LOVE Invictus [ which is where i get "I am the master of my fate]  and I read a response poem to Invictus called "The Soul's Captain" 1 day by Orson F. Whitley (look it up) where he ends the poem [" I see in Him and Him alone, the Captain of my Soul"] and I meshed them Together to say "I am the Master of My Fate, HE is the Captain of my soul"....

Future Tats: (my moms will be sad to know I plan on getting more smh) 

but I plan on at least 1 more after/when I graduate and it'll be some type of ode' to UNC-Chapel Hill.  I haven't quite figured out the logistics b/c i don't want to put the Old Well on my body lol BUT it'll def speak to the trials & tribulations I've experienced at UNC-Ch :)

(I listen to this when I need assurance that the pains/crying/sadness/feeling defeated/etc have overcome me and I NEED to hear that 10 years from now I'll be driving a BMW w/ AC w/ a house, a husband, a degree, and kids :) ... It won't hurt Afterwhile)
